Upcoming Hampton Wildlife Fund Events Across South Carolina

The months ahead are packed with exciting events supporting conservation, wildlife education, and outdoor traditions across South Carolina. From fundraising banquets and sporting clay competitions to major fishing tournaments and youth environmental programs, the Hampton Wildlife Fund continues to bring communities together in support of wildlife and the next generation of conservation leaders.

March 2026 Events

The spring season begins with the SCORE 25th Anniversary Celebration on March 15 at Alhambra Hall in Mount Pleasant, followed by the Spartanburg Banquet on March 20 at the Spartanburg Memorial Auditorium.

Youth shooting sports take center stage on March 21 during the Scholastic Clay Target Sports Qualifier for the Trap Championship at the new Wateree and Love facility in Richland County.

The 6th Annual Hampton Wildlife Fund Wildlife Extravaganza, Wild Game Dinner & Auction will be held on March 26 at the National Guard Armory in Columbia, SC. The month concludes with one of the state’s largest outdoor gatherings, the Palmetto Sportsmen’s Classic, taking place March 27–29 at the State Fairgrounds.

April 2026 Highlights

Environmental education takes center stage with the South Carolina Envirothon Competition on April 17 at Clemson Sandhills in Richland County. Students from across the state will compete in wildlife, forestry, soils, and aquatic ecology challenges.

The South Carolina Trap Championship follows on April 18, showcasing top youth shooting talent.

Later in the month, the GOAT Run benefiting the Hampton Wildlife Fund will take place on April 25 at The Goatery at Kiawah River Preserve.

 

May and June Outdoor Events

Spring transitions into tournament season along the coast. The Charleston Billfish Invitational will be held May 6–9 at Sea Breeze Marina and Boat Club. That same weekend includes the Fort Mill Banquet on May 8 and the Greenville Sporting Clays event on May 9 at Riverbend in Spartanburg.

Later in May, offshore anglers will gather for the 58th Annual Georgetown Blue Marlin Tournament (May 20–23) at Georgetown Landing, followed by the HMY Lowcountry Cup (May 27–30) at Tolers Cove Marina.

The tournament season continues with the Carolina Billfish Classic (June 17–20) at Charleston Harbor Resort and Marina.

Summer Youth Programs

One of the Hampton Wildlife Fund’s most impactful programs returns this summer. Camp Wildwood, held June 21–27 at Kings Mountain State Park, introduces young people to wildlife conservation, natural resources, and outdoor leadership.

A special Camp Wildwood 3rd Year session will take place July 11–17 for returning campers seeking advanced conservation learning.

The Edisto Invitational Billfish Tournament will be held July 15–18 at The Marina at Edisto Beach.

The season concludes with the National Envirothon Competition on July 19 in Starkville, Mississippi, where South Carolina’s winning team will compete against top environmental science students from across North America.
